This class is taught online by Ms. Purnima Mathur, Director of Malhaar music academy. Purnima lives in Atlanta and has been practicing music for over 25 years. She has a great interest in music, a captivating voice and a passion to teach. In a short 3 week course, you will be singing a Raga too.

CLASS SCHEDULE

This program will have 3 classes on three consecutive Saturdays (July 11th, 18th and 25th) with each class being an hour each

  1. Intro to Indian Classical Music

  2. Learn a pop/Bollywood song based on the same Raga

  3. Finally, show your skills by performing with your fellow classmates at a live online show

SESSIONS

  1. 9.30am till 11am Pacific time (for 5-12 years olds)

  2. 11:30am till 1pm Pacific time (for older than 12 years)

While this music class is free but we appreciate a small donation. Your donation supports the Preserve Culture organization so that we can bring you free classes and support the artists engaged in preserving world’s cultural heritage. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and this means that your donations are tax deductible. You will get a receipt to claim your tax deduction. 100% of your contributions are used to directly benefit artists engaged in creating cultural artifacts
